Montipora digitata purple

 Montipora digitata purple/light blue tip is a medium thick branching SPS coral of the genus Montipora. Depending on minerals the tips of this coral can range from purple to blue. Montiporas are generally a more forgiving sps than acroporas and come in a variety of forms, plating, encrusting, and branching and found in almost every colour. 

These can be considered as the beginners first sps coral. Many do appreciate higher nutrient levels than acroporas.
