Pocillopora acuta is a cream/brown coral commonly known as the cauliflower coral or lace coral. It is an SPS coral in the family Pocilloporidae. This species is more open in its growth and not seen as often as its tighter cousins. It is native to tropical and subtropical parts of the Indian and Pacific Oceans. It can be considered as a beginners coral for one who is venturing into sps for the first time.
